How much hosting storage do you need?
Storage is more than the size of your homepage. Count website files, databases, mail and a sensible margin for growth.
Count the current website
Include uploads, images, themes, plugins, logs and backups that live on the hosting account. A WordPress media library can grow faster than the core application.
Include databases and email
Check the size of each database and mailbox. Email attachments and retained messages can become a large part of a hosting account, especially for teams.
Leave room for change
Choose a plan with headroom for new pages, products, media and staging copies. If you are constantly cleaning files to stay below a limit, the plan is too small for the way you work.
Check the other limits
Storage is only one constraint. Compare the number of websites, databases, domains and traffic allowance with your actual project before ordering.
